Azkals Lost Against Kuwait With 5-1 Aggregate

The Philippine Azkals lost the round 2 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Kuwait Al-Azraq with an aggregate score of 5-1.

The Azkals scored 1 goal during the second leg of the game which was held at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on July 28, 2011. The goal was courtesy of Stephan Schrock during the first half of the game.

Kuwait, on the other hand, scored 2 goals during the second half, ending leg 2 of the match with a score of 2-1.

The first leg of the game held last July 23 was also won by Kuwait with a score of 3-0. It was held at the Mohammad Al Hamad Stadium, Qadsia, Kuwait.

Azkals' starting 11 during leg 2 were Neil Etheridge, Anton Del Rosario, Aly Borromeo, Rob Gier, Ray Jonsson, Chieffy Caligdong, Manuel Ott, Stephan Schrock, James Younghusband, Angel Guirado, and Phil Younghusband.

Meanwhile, Kuwait's starting 11 were Ak Khaldi, Al Rashidi, Neda, Rashed, Al Qahtani, Al Ebrahim, Jumah, Al Ataiqi, Al Sulaiman, Al Enezi, Al Mutwa.

Fans who flocked Rizal Memorial Stadium continued cheering for the Azkals all throughout the game, even towards the end when they knew it was already hopeless to win.

That's just telling the Philippine National Football Team that the Pinoys are behind them whether they win or lose.
