Kapuso Teens to Scare Us in "The Road"

GMA Films presents a new horror movie which stars the hottest teen actors of today. Titled The Road, the movie is set for release October 12, 2011.

Fresh from the currently showing teen flick Tween Academy: Class of 2012, Kapuso teen stars Barbie Forteza, Louise delos Reyes, Alden Richards, Derrick Monsterio, and Lexi Fernandez will treat us to a horror movie that's very timely for the coming Halloween season.

Also in the cast of The Road are Rhian Ramos, Carmina Villaroel, Marvin Agustin, TJ Trinidad, Ynna Asistio and Renz Valerio.

The movie is directed by Yam Laranas who is best known for his horror movies Sigaw (2004) and its English version The Echo (2008).

Lorna Tolentino Stars in TV5's "Glamorosa"

Aside from Nora Aunor, another veteran actress who's having a drama series on TV5 is Lorna Tolentino. Last seen on the recently-concluded ABS-CBN's Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, her first Kapatid teleserye has a working title of Glamorosa.

Zoren Legaspi is joining her in the drama series. Other actors rumored to also be in the cast are Alice Dixson and Mart Escudero.

It seems that everyone is going Kapatid these days. Zoren's partner, Carmina Villaroel, is also being rumored to transfer.

Meanwhile, Alice Dixson made her Philippine television comeback via the recently-ended Babaeng Hampaslupa after staying in Canada for so long. And now in Canada, she is said to be back to the country by the end of this month to start taping for Glamorosa.

Mart Escudero, on the other hand, proved his calibre as an actor via the Cinemalaya film Zombadings: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington. The movie is set for commercial release on August 31, 2011.

Rhian Ramos and TJ Trinidad Topbill "The Road"

Rhian Ramos and TJ Trinidad topbills Yam Laranas' upcoming horror movie, The Road. The two have already worked together in past projects like Zorro, Stairway to Heaven, and Dear Friend: Almost a Love Story.

Produced by GMA Films, The Road also stars Carmina Villaroel, Wendell Ramos, Barbie Forteza, Louise delos Reyes, Lexi Fernandez, Derrick Monasterio, Alden Richards, and Renz Valerio.

"Pahiram ng Isang Ina" Premieres August 15

GMA-7 brings to us another tearjerker that will surely capture the hearts of televiewers. Titled Pahiram ng Isang Ina, the series is set to premiere on August 15, 2011 on the Kapuso network's Dramarama sa Hapon.

Pahiram ng Isang Ina stars Carmina Villaroel, Maxene Magalona, Bea Binene, Jake Vargas, Bubbles Paraiso, Antonio Aquitania, Marco Alcaraz, and Rita Iringan.

From the script written by Denoy Navarro-Punio, the drama series is directed by Joel Lamangan.
