Sam Pinto is Top Choice To Play "Angela Markado"

FHM's sexiest Sam Pinto is the top choice to play the role of Angela Markado which was originally done by veteran actress Hilda Koronel in 1980.

Written for komiks by Carlo J. Caparas and illustrated by Abe Ocampo, it was adapted into a movie by the award-winning Lino Brocka.

Synopsis: The story is about a waitress named Angela who is raped by five men. The men further degrades her by tattooing their names on her back before selling her to a prostitution house. Another prostitute helps Angela escape. Upon arriving home, she finds out her mother has died and her bestfriend has also been raped by the same group of men. The bestfriend can't take it and commits suicide. Out of anger, Angela vows revenge. She makes it a life mission to kill the five men tattoed on her back.

Back in 2009, Angela Markado was reported to be made into a TV series that would star Katrina Halili. It never materialized.

Sam Pinto recently hit the headlines when she won topped the FHM Sexiest Women of the World 2011 polls. She also made quite a buzz with the alleged rift with Marian Rivera.

Marian Rivera on MOD Magazine's July 2011 Cover

Kapuso star Marian Rivera is on the cover of MOD magazine's July 2011 issue with the cover story "Marian Reigns: The Prime Time Queen Reclaims Her Throne."

Marian Rivera, who stars in the movie Temptation Island, also plays the lead character in GMA-7's top ranking primetime epicserye Amaya. The primetime queen is also quite controversial as of late due to alleged incidents with Heart Evangelista and Sam Pinto.

Heart Evangelista, on the evening news last night, claimed that Marian went to her dressing room and angrily shouted insults at her while they were shooting Temptation Island. The confrontation, according to Heart, stemmed from her announcement that she was excited to work in a TV project with Dingdong Dantes, who is Marian's current boyfriend.

Sam Pinto, on the other hand, said in her interview with tabloid columnist Pete Ampoloquio Jr that her "misery" started when she was linked with Dingdong Dantes. According to the interview, Marian went as far as to bump her on purpose one time. Good thing Sam was able to dodge.

Sam was actually the first one to talk about her issues with Marian. Heart kept her silence for a while and only spilled the beans after her Brazil trip with boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga.

Is there a hate campaign going on against the Kapuso Primetime Queen? I hope not.

"Tween Academy Class of 2012" – Movie Trailer

The cast of GMA-7's hit youth-oriented show, Tween Hearts, is ready to conquer the big screen with the movie version of the weekly series titled Tween Academy Class of 2012.

Directed by Mark Reyes from the script written by Kit Villanueva-Langit, the movie is scheduled for release on August 24, 2011. I'm sure the fans of the show will flock to the movie houses once it starts showing.

Tween Academy Class of 2012 stars Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Elmo Magalona, Jake Vargas, Bea Binene, Joyce Ching, Kris Dangculos, Lexi Fernandez, Derrick Monasterio, Louise delos Reyes, Alden Richards, Yassi Pressman and FHM's sexiest woman for 2011, Sam Pinto.

Eula Valdez on FHM Philippines July 2011 Cover

42-year-old Eula Valdez graces the cover of FHM Philippines for the second time looking like the sexy momma she is in leather boots. She first agreed to cover the men's magazine in May 2006.

The award-winning actress is also included in the 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll which was topped by Sam Pinto. The complete results of the poll is in a booklet included in the issue.
