Charice, as recently reported, was asked to sing the US National Anthem on the National Football League's 9/11 tribute game on September 11.

Despite the fact that Charice was not born in the US, her being chosen to sing the patriotic song during an important day for the Americans just shows how the 9/11 bombings affected not only America but the whole world as well.

Charice Previews "Lighthouse"

Charice gave a little preview of the song Lighthouse during the Acuvue 1 Day Celebrity Chat. The song is included in her sophomore international album titled Infinity.

Lighthouse is a ballad written by British singer-songwriter and Grammy nominee Natasha Bedingfield.

Charice to Sing "Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" in 9/11 Tribute

Charice singing powers will once again be showcased singing the US National Anthem, Star-Spangled Banner, and God Bless America during National Football League's (NFL) 10th anniversary 9/11 tribute.

It is scheduled during this coming Sunday's game between Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. It set to take place in Florida.

This is not the first time Charice will sing America's anthem. She performed Star-Spangled Banner back in 2009 at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. She also did God Bless America at President Obama's Pre-Inaugural Ball.

Despite the fact that Charice was not born in the US, her being chosen to sing these patriotic songs during a 9/11 tribute just shows how the 9/11 bombings affected not only America but the whole world as well.

Charice's "Infinity" Album Cover and Track List

The album cover and track list for Charice's upcoming album titled Infinity has just been released. The album cover is dark, with the singer wearing black against a black background.

The universal infinity symbol is placed at the center of the cover in replacement of the album's name in text.

I personally hope that this is just a test. Charice looks a little "compressed" here. Round face, round shoulders with very little to no neck in sight.

Track list of the album include Louder which was released as a single last May. The song was also used as the background music for the Oprah Winfrey Network's new season teaser.

Far as the Sky, the theme song of the Japanese television series, Bull Doctor, is also included in the album.

Infinity has 11 songs in all. It's just sad that As Long as You're There, the Glee original she sang at the show's season two finale, isn't included in the album.

David Foster and Friends is coming back to Manila in October for a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Dubbed The Hitman Returns – David Foster & Friends 2, our very own Charice will again perform with The Hitman. Also in the concert are Philip Bailey, Russell Watson and Michael Bolton.

The Hitman Returns – David Foster & Friends 2 is part of the Hitman Returns Asian Tour 2011. The Manila leg will be on October 25, 2011, 8 PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Charice's Song in OWN's Teaser

Charice's single Louder was used as the background music for the Oprah Winfrey Network's new season teaser.

OWN's new season starts October "and it's going to be big!" The teaser features Oprah, Rosie, Lisa Ling and Will.i.am as "among the many familiar faces coming to OWN this fall!"

We all know how Oprah loved Charice. It's nice to know the love continues.

Charice's "One Day" - Music Video and Lyrics

Check out Charice's One Day music video which premiered a while ago on AOL. The song was co-written and produced by Nick Jonas for Acuvue contact lenses.

In an interview with MTV, Nick said the song is more than just contact lenses. It's a great campaign about following your dreams.

He said he flew to Boston to produce the song for Charice while the pint-sized Filipina singer was filming a movie in the area.

Charice's "Far as the Sky" – Music Video and Lyrics

The official music video of Charice's Far as the Sky has just been released. The song is produced by Kayuza Toda to be used as the theme of the new Japanese television series, Bull Doctor.

Charice, who is very popular in Japan, was the personal choice of the producer who is so fascinated with the Pinay singer's powerful voice. The song is very inspirational and talks about hope after the obstacles.

Charice is Not Coming Back to "Glee"

Charice will not be reprising her role as Sunshine Corazon for the third season of the hit Fox television series, Glee. That's according to a statement by Ryan Murphy which says that they're "not going to have any guest stars" for the next season. He states furthermore that they're "going to do fewer songs.”

Fewer songs? Now that's odd. Isn't Glee supposed to be a musical?

But worry not, Chasters, because it's not the end for Charice, of course. She has an upcoming full album to be released this fall and her movie Here Comes the Boom is coming out next year.

Charice to Sing Theme Song of Japanese Drama

International singing sensation Charice is tapped to sing the theme song of the upcoming NTV drama, Bull Doctor. Stars and producers of the Japanese television show were so charmed by the Pinay singer's voice that they sent her the offer to sing the theme.

Charice accepted and a Japanese team will produce her song titled FarAsTheSky. The singer described the song as something that will make you believe that there will always be a tomorrow.

FarAsTheSky, as a digital single, will be available July 6th.

Charice Quits Facebook

International singing sensation Charice has deactivated her Facebook account due to disappointment over negative comments from her critics, especially about her apparent weight gain during her appearance on the season finale episode of the hit show Glee.

In a statement posted in her official Twitter account, the Pinay singer said:

"Glad I deleted my Facebook. It's funny to invade some non-public pages and see other "not so true chasters" talk negative stuff about me."

The Facebook account Charice was referring to was her private one. Her public fan page, though, is still up at http://facebook.com/Charice.

To the backstabbers, Charice has this to say:

"To all of you fake people saying great stuff in front of me, backstabbers, goodluck. :)Have a mentos! The fresh maker!! boo :P"

Charice Meets Mariah

Charice Pempengco performed in front of the A-list Hollywood stars in the glamorous Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation's Grand Slam for Children benefit concert which is held annually to benefit needy children. But one of her biggest dreams came true even before the show started when she met Mariah Carey in person. Mariah only had praises for the young Filipina singer saying, "I am very happy and I hope I'm gonna sing with her soon, I wish. You're beautiful, it's so nice to meet you. She's so cute! I love you Filipinos, thank you."

Other top notch singers who performed on stage were Rod Stewart, Sheryl Crowe and Mariah Carey herself. It was Charice, though, who was given a thunderous applause and a standing ovation.

(Please stop asking her who she wanna meet next. She's starting to look like a fan touring the world to meet her idols.)

David Foster, American composer and producer who is now Charice's mentor, says he probably had at least two dozen people stopping him on the street just to thank him for what he's done for Charice.

The glitzy benefit concert was held last Saturday, October 11, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.
