Anne Curtis Sings "Sukob Na" - ABS-CBN's Station ID Theme

Anne Curtis is the voice behind Sukob Na, ABS-CBN's Station ID for the rainy season. We all know, of course, that the beautiful and funny Showtime host will be launching her debut album soon.

Sukob Na was composed by Frasco Mortiz and Alexeeb Flores. It was originally performed by the group 17:28 and had been used by ABS-CBN as their rainy season's station ID theme song twice – in 2002 (using the original version) and in 2010 (performed by Aiza Seguerra).

Angeline Quinto and Vincent Bueno Sing Travel Website Theme Song

Angeline Quinto sang the theme song of Choose Philippines, a local tourism-driven website owned by ABS-CBN. The song titled Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas is a duet between the Star Power champion and Vincent Bueno. The two have already worked together as a duet in Bida Best sa Tag-araw, the 2011 Summer Station ID of the Kapamilya network.

Seems like Angeline is becoming a favorite Kapamilya this early in her career. Aside from those two songs, she's also the voice behind the themes of Kris TV, 100 Days to Heaven, and the recently-concluded Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

Beyonce is Pregnant + Her VMAs "Love On Top" Performance [Video]

Beyonce walked the black carpet of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday wearing a bright orange Lanvin gown and a baby bump!

Later on the VMAs stage, she said before singing Love on Top, "Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet, I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me."

Beyonce, who is married to rapper Jay-Z for three years now, wore a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble that included a purple sequin tuxedo jacket, white top and black pants. It could also be noticed that she danced to the minimum during the performance.

The Opera Belles' "Sundo" [Music Video]

The Opera Belles' stint as "hurados" in ABS-CBN's daily talent show Showtime gave them a chance to make themselves more known all throughout the country. Their "samples" were much applauded and gained them more fans. It wasn't enough, though, to make them beat Markki Stroem, Jong Hilario and my personal favorite Ryan Bang from the text poll on who will stay in the judges' panel.

I've featured The Opera Belles in this blog before, but their stint made me more interested in their music. Searching YouTube, I came across this recently-released music video of their revival song titled Sundo which is an Imago-original.

The song was okay, their voices sound heavenly. But what about the music video? I almost laughed when I browsed the comments section and read someone's comment saying that the video looks like a whitening lotion/soap television commercial.

With all the hands-caressing-the-face moments, does it look like a TV commercial to you?

Rivermaya's "Nowhere to Run" is Thelma's Theme Song (Music Video)

Check out the music video of Rivermaya's Nowhere to Run featuring Julianne Tarroja. The song is the theme of the movie Thelma that stars the young and talented Maja Salvador.

The music video features scenes from the upcoming movie which is showing on September 7. It is about the life and trials of a track and field athlete who comes from a poor family. Inspired by true stories, some parts of the movie were taken from the life of national athlete Elma Muros who personally trained Maja in preparation for the role.

Directed by Paul Soriano, the movie also stars John Arcilla, Tetchie Agbayani, Eliza Pineda, and Sue Prado with the special participation of Jason Abalos and Elma Muros herself.

The music video of Nowhere to Run was directed by Jake Soriano and Raquel Fausto, and produced by Paul Soriano and Rino Que.

Lady Gaga's "Yoü and I" - Music Video and Lyrics

The "Mother Monster" Lady Gaga has just premiered the music video for the single Yoü And I. The song was released as the fourth single from her second studio album, Born This Way.

Yoü And I was written by Lady Gaga herself. It samples Queen's We Will Rock You with Brian May on electric guitar.

Lady Gaga debuted the song last year at Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball.

Pia Toscano's "This Time" – Music Video and Lyrics

And it's not only the winner and runner-up of American Idol 10 who released their music videos this week. Pia Toscano, who received an early boot last season, also released the video for her song This Time on August 9th, the same day the single was released as a free download on iTunes store.

Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera's "Moves Like Jagger" – Music Video and Lyrics

The Maroon 5 song titled Moves Like Jagger featuring the pop diva Christina Aguilera now has a music video. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the music video was filmed in Los Angeles. It premiered August 8 on E!

The song was released for digital download on June 21, 2011. On the same day, it had a live premiere on NBC's reality show The Voice where Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera were mentors.

Scotty McCreery - "I Love You This Big" Music Video and Lyrics

After Lauren Alaina's music video debut, it's American Idol 10 winner Scotty McCreery's turn. The country crooner's winning song I Love You This Big's music video premiered a little earlier than announced.

In the video, Scotty sings in front of a small audience in an outdoor setting. The fireworks towards the end of the video is lovely, making one long for a summer chill with family and close friends.

Lauren Alaina - "Like My Mother Does" (Music Video and Lyrics)

American Idol 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina debuted the music video of her first single, Like My Mother Does, on Country Music Television (CMT) with behind-the-scenes footage of the video shoot.

The music video features pictures and home videos from Lauren's childhood, with her mother doing a cameo towards the end.

Like My Mother Does was released almost three months ago when Lauren was declared runner-up of American Idol 10. It was one of the songs she sang at the show's finale and it debuted at No. 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 and No. 11 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart.

CMT will air a similar special for Scotty McCreery's I Love You This Big next Tuesday.

Super Junior's "Mr. Simple" - Music Video

The music video for the Korean boy band Super Junior's latest single Mr. Simple has already been released. It is the carrier single of their 5th and latest album of the same title.

Super Junior (often referred to as SJ or SuJu) is currently composed of Sungmin, Shindong, Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Siwon, Yesung, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Heechul, and Ryeowook.

Sheng Belmonte - "Gigil" Music Video and Lyrics

Sheng Belmonte's Gigil music video is currently at the 13th slot of Myx Philippines Pinoy Charts.

Sheng was one of the early evictees of PInoy Dream Academy Season 2. Last year, she played Monang in the critically-acclaimed remake of the musical Magsimula Ka. She also collaborated with Gloc-9 in his single Walang Natira.

And while her batch mates in PDA 2 are fading in the background (only Bugoy Drillon is quite visible), Sheng's star is starting to shine brighter with this new single from Sony Music Philippines.

Sheng Belmonte also does belly and pole dancing which are showcased in Gigil's music video.

Check out Charice's One Day music video which premiered a while ago on AOL. The song was co-written and produced by Nick Jonas for Acuvue contact lenses.

In an interview with MTV, Nick said the song is more than just contact lenses. It's a great campaign about following your dreams.

He said he flew to Boston to produce the song for Charice while the pint-sized Filipina singer was filming a movie in the area.

Itchyworms Launches "Gaano Ko Ikaw Kamahal" Tonight

Christian Bautista's "I'm Already King" – Music Video and Lyrics

Christian Bautista's newest single titled I'm Already King has just been released by Universal Records Philippines. The song, which is the theme of his international movie, is also the carrier single of his latest album, The Best of OPM Love Songs Vol. 1.

As the name of the album suggests, it is a compilation of the best love songs the Philippines has produced through the years.

Meanwhile, Christian's first international movie, which has a title of Special Symphony for its Philippine release, will have its premiere night on July 31, 2011, 7 PM, at SM Megamall. Regular showing starts August 3, 2011 across 50 theaters.

The movie was shown in Indonesia on March 17, 2011 with the title of Simfoni Luar Biasa. Its first English title was Jayden's Choir.
