"Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break" Teasers [Videos]

GMA-7's newest singing reality show, is set to air this September. Titled Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break, the reality show boasts of the ten Philippine music icons who will mentor their respective protégés. These protégés were chosen during the various auditions they held at the key provinces of the Philippines.

The ten music icons/celebrity mentors are Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Jay-R, Rachelle Ann Go, Aiza Seguerra, Joey Generoso of SIDE A, Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente, Rey Valera and Gloc 9.

Ogie Alcasid, who is excited for his firstborn with the Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez, will be the Journey Host of the show, while Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado are the Gala Presenters.

"Solenn On Stage" This August 19 & 26 at Teatrino Promenade

Solenn Heussaff will perform live via a mini-concert at Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan this coming August 19 and 26, 2011 at 8 PM. Dubbed as "Solenn On Stage," she will have Ogie Alcasid as her special guest together with other surprise performers.

The mini-concerts are part of the promo of her self-titled debut album released last July 11th. Tracks in the album include Fire, All I Wanna Do, Chemistry, Ladies' Night (feat Viktoria Vixen), Selfish, Kiss, It's Our First Time, Sunshine, Torn, and Ladies' Night (feat Viktoria Vixen and Rjay of LDP).

GMA-7's upcoming singing reality show, Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break, will be holding auditions in various parts of the country. Ten of Philippines' music icons will search for their respective protégés who will battle it out for a big break in the local music industry.

The ten celebrity mentors are Janno Gibbs, Jaya, Jay-R, Rachelle Ann Go, Aiza Seguerra, Joey Generoso of SIDE A, Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente, Rey Valera and Gloc 9.

Scheduled to premiere on September, Protégé: The Battle for the Big Break will have Ogie Alcasid as the Journey Host, and Dingdong Dantes as the Gala Presenter.

* Auditions will be from 10am- 6pm.

Aspirants will have to bring the following in order to qualify:

- certified true copy and photocopy of birth certificate
- two photos (1 full body and 1 close-up)
- those below 18 years need a written consent from their parents, and original and photocopy of their parent's valid ID
