"Budoy" – The Official Full Trailer [Video]

Check out the full trailer of the upcoming Gerald Anderson-starrer titled Budoy which is premiering soon on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. It stars a powerhouse cast lead by Dante Rivero, Gloria Sevilla, Barbara Perez, Tirso Cruz III, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Christian Vasquez, Janice de Belen, Enrique Gil, and Jessy Mendiola.

Budoy also marks Janice de Belen's comeback to the Kapamilya network after staying for so long in GMA-7. She plays the role of the woman who took care of Budoy after he got separated from his biological parents.

Expect great acting from the cast especially with Janice and Zsa Zsa Padilla, who plays the role of Budoy's biological mother. Also, Mylene Dizon's acting prowess will once again amaze us for sure. It's nice to see her back on primetime so soon after the hit Mara Clara.

And don't you think it would be fun if they put Budoy in the timeslot right before or after the Kim Chiu-starrer My Binondo Girl? Just asking.

"Nasaan Ka, Elisa?" Premieres September 12

After almost half a year of waiting, the Melissa Ricks-starrer Nasaan Ka, Elisa? will finally be aired on Monday, September 12, 2011. And to the delight of the actress' fans, the series is going to be on primetime TV, taking the timeslot right after Kim Chiu's My Binondo Girl.

image

Originally set to be aired on ABS-CBN's afternoon block starting March 21, the series was put on hold due to contract issues involving some of its main cast. Contracts of actors Albert Martinez, Agot Isidro and Vina Morales state that their TV series is to be aired on primetime television, rather than Nasaan Ka, Elisa?'s first scheduled timeslot of weekday afternoons.

The waiting is worth it, though, because the series will have a wider audience reach in its primetime slot.

Other members of the cast include Mickey Ferriols, Desiree del Valle, Joem  Bascon, Eric Fructuoso, Christopher Roxas, Aldred Gatchalian, Franco Daza, Wendy Valdez, Allen Dizon, Isabella de Leon, and Alexa Ilacad.

Watch the trailer of Nasaan Ka, Elisa? after the jump.

Angeline Quinto and Coco Martin Topbill New Movie, "You Light Up My Life"

Seems like everything is in place for Angeline Quinto's superstardom. After winning Star Power early this year, Angeline already had a best-selling album, topbilled a sold-out concert, sang TV show themes, and has a number of product endorsements. As if it's not yet enough, ABS-CBN has something more in store for the young diva.

Angeline Quinto

Angeline Quinto is going to star in her very first movie with no less her crush, Coco Martin. Continuing the trend of song titles being made into movies, Angeline and Coco's movie is titled You Light Up My Life from the '70s ballad by Debbie Boone.

This move by ABS-CBN has somehow proved to many that Angeline, indeed, is being groomed to become the next Sarah Geronimo. Three years ago, Sarah was partnered with bankable actor John Lloyd Cruz in the movie A Very Special Love. The movie became the 5th highest-grossing Filipino film of all time and Sarah was crowned as Box Office Queen for the year 2008. Sarah and John Lloyd's tandem was given more movies after that which all became blockbusters.

Is Angeline Quinto ready to become the new Box Office Queen?

With her exceptional singing voice and rags-to-riches story, Angeline has captured the hearts of majority of Pinoy televiewers. Her honesty and matter-of-fact answers during interviews also endear her to some. Add to that Coco Martin's multitude fans that range from young kids to the oldies and we can say that the two are on for the next Box Office King and Queen titles.

Are you excited for Angeline and Coco's movie together?

Matteo Guidicelli Apologizes on National TV

Matteo Guidicelli made a public apology yesterday on national television about what happened between him and Coco Martin at the after-party of the Star Magic Ball held Saturday night at The Peninsula Manila. [RELATED STORY]

Maja Salvador guested on The Buzz on Sunday to promote her movie Thelma and to talk about what happened at the Manila Pen. During the interview, the pretty actress admitted that she and Matteo were in a relationship and she was the cause of the fight between the two actors. She also told Boy Abunda that she doesn't know where her relationship with Matteo is heading after what happened. She, though, refused to give full details of what transpired.

A day after Maja's interview on The Buzz, Matteo gave his statement via the ABS-CBN noontime show, Happy Yipee Yehey, where he was a regular of. The Cebuano actor said, "I'm very, very sorry for what happened. It was a very unnecessary matter. Sorry talaga sa nangyari. Sa lahat ng fans, mga bosses namin, sorry po talaga. Tita Cory (Vidanes, ABS-CBN Channel Head), Sir Deo (Endrinal, ABS-CBN Business Unit Head), nandun sila. Sa lahat ng tao na naapektuhan, the biggest sorry. I'm very sad.”

Although he didn't apologize directly to Coco, Matteo promised one thing. “Aayusin namin ang lahat, Kuya John," he told John Estrada who was one of his co-hosts in the noontime show, "kaya wala nang problema.”

Andi Eigenmann Blogs About Her Baby's Father

Months after she admitted she was pregnant, Andi Eigenmann revealed the father of her child through her blog. Albie Casiño was named in one of her posts, although it was later edited and replaced with the words "the baby daddy (-_- really?)."

On the third paragraph of her September 4 post titled #welliwasneverreallytheconventionaltype, Andi originally wrote:

Maybe instead of feeling bad that Albie left me to take on this responsibility by myself, I should thank him for giving me the opportunity go out and find genuine happiness once again. I'd obviously love for him to be around eventually. You know, to save myself the struggle to find a good way to explain his absence to his child. At the same time, I'd understand. Cus after all, I have no idea who or what kind of a person all the fame and fortune has turned him into now. All I hope is that he's well.

Even before she made the post, though, people have always speculated that Albie was the father of the unborn since he was Andi's boyfriend when she got pregnant. It actually stained the wholesome image of the actor, and perhaps it was the reason why he was pulled out on some (if not all) of his acting projects that had been given to him before the news about Andi's pregnancy broke out.

Eventually, Albie was seen on Maalaala Mo Kaya and 100 Days to Heaven episodes. There were also reports that he would star in the TV adaptation of Problem Child where he would act opposite Cherie Gil, the original star of the movie who is also Andi's aunt. Recent talks, though, says that Albie will no longer be in the show. His role, according to the grapevine, had already been given to Paulo Avelino.

In the recent Star Magic Ball, Albie and Paulo seemed to be in good terms as evident in the photo below.

Denise Laurel Admits Giving Birth to a Son

Denise Laurel admitted to yesterday's episode of The Buzz that she indeed got pregnant and had given birth to a baby boy.

image

Rumors about her pregnancy surfaced last year after her character in ABS-CBN's Kristine got axed. She denied the rumors but eventually faded from the limelight.

She surprised everyone when she topbilled last Saturday's episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya opposite Matt Evans. A day later, she admitted the pregnancy issue on The Buzz.

But why did she come out with the confession now after denying it all in the past?

Para masagot ko iyong mga tanong. I wanted to do it in a time na hindi magulo, hindi stressful, 'yung I can face everybody happy and show them what I really feel," she said.

She refused to name the father of her son, though. She said he is not a celebrity and she's keeping his identity in respect for his family. "We are still together. I can say that he provides for his family. He is a great father. We are just working on things as they come along," Denise further said.

She's also thankful for the support she got from her family, who were the the first ones that came to her mind when she found out she's pregnant. But although her family was disappointed, "not once did they raise their voice... they talked to me, they asked me if I love the father, if I’m ready for this... My family has always been there for me. Not even thank you is enough. I’m just so thankful that I have people in my life like them,” she said.

Coco Martin and Matteo Guidicelli Figure in a Fight at the Star Magic Ball 2011

Coco Martin and Matteo Guidicelli figured in a fight at The Peninsula Manila during the Star Magic Ball 2011 held Saturday night.

Matteo reportedly left the hotel with a bleeding mouth courtesy of Coco's fist. Witnesses said, though, that it was Matteo who started the fight. The My Binondo Girl star allegedly choked Coco, which caused the latter to defend himself by punching Matteo.

Further reports said that the fight started when Matteo grabbed Coco by the back of his coat/shirt.

image

The name of Maja Salvador was immediately dragged into the issue. The pretty Thelma star and Matteo Guidicelli have been constantly linked to each other for sometime. Coco Martin, on the other hand, was Maja's leading man in the recently-concluded ABS-CBN drama, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin. Talks about Matteo being jealous of Coco had circulated numerous times especially that Coco was vocal in expressing his admiration for Maja.

Meanwhile, on The Buzz, Maja talked to Boy Abunda about the incident and admitted she was the cause of it all. She also admitted for the first time that she and Matteo are in a relationship but confessed she doesn't know where their relationship would go after the incident at the Manila Pen.

On the question regarding what triggered the fight between the two actors, Maja refused to go into details, but said it's not true that Coco Martin kissed her on the lips during the after party at the hotel's Salon de Ning bar.

The Star Magic management already released a statement saying that Matteo Guidicelli and Coco Martin have already patched things up. “What happened was just a simple misunderstanding," the statement says. "Both Coco and Matteo are sorry it happened. Everything has been resolved.”

Sukob Na was composed by Frasco Mortiz and Alexeeb Flores. It was originally performed by the group 17:28 and had been used by ABS-CBN as their rainy season's station ID theme song twice – in 2002 (using the original version) and in 2010 (performed by Aiza Seguerra).
